Our Education Programme

Dubai Scholars offers a coherent British education from the Early Years through to Post-16, combining academic depth with the wider experiences that help young people grow in confidence, independence and character.

Early Years and Primary

In the Early Years, children learn through purposeful play, exploration, conversation and carefully structured experiences. The focus is on building strong foundations in communication, early literacy, mathematics, physical development and personal confidence.
Across Primary, students follow the National Curriculum of England. Reading, writing, mathematics and science form the academic core, supported by humanities, languages, technology, the arts and physical education.
Learning is designed to become progressively more demanding, preparing students not only for Secondary school, but also to think carefully, communicate clearly and take increasing responsibility for their work.

Secondary

The Secondary curriculum provides students with a broad academic foundation before they begin to specialise.
At Key Stage 4, most subjects lead to Pearson Edexcel International GCSE qualifications, while Cambridge IGCSE is offered in selected subjects.
The choice of examination board is made according to the nature and requirements of each subject, allowing students to follow a pathway that is academically rigorous, internationally recognised and appropriate for future study.
Beyond the examined curriculum, students have opportunities to participate in sport, performance, competitions, leadership, trips and wider school initiatives. These experiences are not treated as separate from learning; they help students apply their skills, discover new strengths and contribute more confidently to school life.

Post-16

In Post-16, students study a focused programme of internationally recognised Advanced Level qualifications.
The school offers Pearson Edexcel International A Levels, alongside Cambridge International A Levels in selected subjects. These programmes provide the depth of knowledge, academic discipline and independent study skills required for university.
Students also receive guidance in subject selection, university applications and future pathways. Leadership, enrichment and service opportunities allow them to build experience beyond their chosen subjects and prepare for the greater independence expected after school.

More Than Qualifications
Academic achievement matters, but it is only one part of a complete education.
Through sport, the arts, student leadership, competitions, trips, community initiatives and co-curricular opportunities, students are encouraged to explore interests beyond the classroom. The purpose is not simply to keep students busy, but to help them develop confidence, resilience, collaboration and a stronger sense of responsibility.
Our programme is designed to provide students with a clear academic route, meaningful opportunities beyond it and the preparation needed to move successfully into further study and adult life.
