Message From the Head of School

                                Dear Parents,

Welcome to Dubai Scholars, a school shaped by heritage, strengthened by community, and guided by a deep belief in the potential of every child.

It is a privilege to lead this institution as we celebrate 50 years of educational excellence in Dubai, built on the trust of generations of families and a legacy that continues to shape lives and inspire futures. This milestone is both a moment of gratitude and an invitation to look forward with renewed purpose. We honour everyone who has been a part of our journey, while continuing to evolve with relevance, ambition, and integrity. 

At Dubai Scholars, education extends far beyond academic attainment. We seek to develop the whole child: intellectually curious, emotionally secure, ethically grounded, physically confident, and socially responsible.

Our students are encouraged to think independently, communicate with clarity, collaborate with empathy, and lead with integrity. They develop critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, digital fluency, problem-solving, public speaking, teamwork, judgement, and the confidence to engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Equally important is grit. We want our students to persevere when learning is difficult, recover from setbacks, and remain committed when success is not immediate. Excellence is not shaped by ability alone. It is strengthened through discipline, resilience, reflection, and character.

They have progressed to distinguished universities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Europe, the UAE, and India, including Harvard University, Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, the University of Waterloo, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, the University of Warwick, the University of Nottingham, the American University of Sharjah, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the University of Birmingham Dubai, and many other leading institutions around the world.

Their journeys demonstrate what becomes possible when aspiration is supported by rigorous learning, purposeful guidance, resilience, adaptability, and self-belief.

While these university destinations reflect the strength of our academic excellence, our greater responsibility is to prepare young people to approach complexity with discernment, change with confidence, and others with humanity. As technology continues to reshape the world, digital fluency must advance alongside human fluency: the capacity to listen, understand, collaborate, and lead with compassion.

We believe that character is not an addition to education. It is one of its most enduring outcomes.

The legacy entrusted to us by my predecessors, Mrs. Miranda and Mr. Frank Scarcelli, continues through our commitment to an education that is ambitious, balanced, and deeply humane.

This work depends upon a meaningful partnership between school and family. When children experience consistency, trust, and shared purpose between home and school, they develop the confidence to flourish.
