Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well.
Welcome to the first Newsletter of this Academic Year. School newsletters are a valuable way to keep our community informed and connected. They highlight student achievements, developing a sense of unity and engagement among students, parents, and staff. Through these regular updates, we celebrate our collective progress and growth. Going forward, we intend to release two Newsletters per term.
Nearly nine weeks have passed since the start of the academic year, and it has been an enriching and remarkable journey thus far.
Our Foundation Stage students actively engaged in the Yusaid Campaign, graciously presenting utility bags to our blue-collar workers – a commendable display of compassion. Furthermore, numerous enriching educational excursions have been meticulously planned, coupled with students excelling in interschool sports competitions and the introduction of dynamic new extracurricular activities centered around the performing arts and public speaking skills such as TEDx Training sessions. These opportunities holistically elevate their learning experiences beyond the confines of the classroom.
We’ve also held our Primary, Secondary & Sixth Form Student Council Elections. In addition, our Primary students made a heartwarming visit to breast cancer patients, while our Secondary students organised the DS Venturist Business Competition & Post Secondary students visited a university and explored different careers of interest and attended sessions on career exploration.
The above is just a summary, as you read through the newsletter, you will be happy to see the levels of engagement across all phases.
Looking ahead, we are preparing a plethora of learning opportunities and initiatives for our dear students, to name a few: Our recent announcement of Zero Tech Day, a new initiative where students will go screen-free one day a week (FS TO YEAR 8) & for Year Groups 10 to 13 – A humanitarian trip to Sri Lanka in December 2024 and a UK trip to Universities in July 2025, few initiatives around Fitness 30×30 and much more.
Our heartfelt thank you for your continued support in nurturing our students’ growth, and we look forward to more enriching experiences in the weeks ahead.
Ms. Sapna Changrani
