Dubai Scholars Siblings Club Home / School Programme Siblings Club At Dubai Scholars, we are fully aware of how challenging it can become for parents to collect their children at different times. Hence, to support our families, we are pleased to offer an after-school Siblings Club which is a safe and convenient facility for our children in FS as they wait for their older siblings to end their school day. Why register your child at DS Siblings Club? The club supports working parents or who are otherwise engaged in their ad hoc plans. This enables parents to collect their children at the same time or siblings can travel together on the school bus. Children will participate in enriching activities which engages and encourages them to build upon their love for learning and further tap into their highest potential. Helps supports your child’s personal and social skills through extended interaction with other children. Please note that the child’s seat will be provided on a first come first served basis. This facility is available for a minimal fee for our DS students. SIG is a leading educational organization with a mission to develop international schools of excellence in this region. The founders are graduates from Georgetown University and the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Are children required to wear school uniform? Yes, it is imperative that students wear the correct uniform designated by the school management. What is the process of communication between parents and teachers? There are many forms of communication between teachers and parents: email, newsletters and the school communicator. Your classroom teacher will inform you of the communication form. The school communicator app will give you important school wide information daily. We encourage you to stay in touch with your class teacher throughout the school year. Do you have teaching assistants? Yes, we have teaching assistants for children in Nursery, FS1, FS2 and Years 1 & 2 Do you provide transport? Contact our Transport Manager at transportation@dubaischolars.com to sign up for transportation services or for any enquiries at 050 558 9707. We provide bus services to most areas of Dubai and select areas of Sharjah. Is there a test for admission? Yes, we require each prospective student to take an assessment to ascertain whether the child will be able to effectively engage with the school programme offered at Dubai Scholars. To what Years does the school offer? The school offers education to students from Nursery to Year 13. What are the school timings? Nursery, FS1 and FS2 Monday to Thursday – 8:15am to 12:10pm Friday – 8:15am to 11:45am Year 1 to 11 Mondays to Thursdays – 7:10am to 2:10pm Fridays – 7:10am to 11:45am Year 12 to 13 Mondays to Thursdays – 7:10am to 3:30pm Fridays: 7:10am– 11:45am Arrival and Departure Children should report to school at least 10 minutes before class begins. If not leaving by bus, they must be collected promptly when classes end at 12:15pm for Early Years students and at 2:15pm for Year 1 to Year 13. What curriculum do you follow? We follow the National Curriculum for England and Wales enriched with the Edexcel Program of study.
