To commemorate Dubai scholars’ presence as a school group for 40 years, the students from A levels did their bit for 40 Blue collar workers.
The students collaborated exceptionally well in order to organize this event. The Blue collar workers began the day with a breakfast served by the students, followed by a comprehensive health check-up done by the school’s medical staff. A good variety of activities ensued, including a confidence building workshop conducted by the Celebrated Coach, Mr. Arjun Aiyar. The workers enjoyed playing outdoor sports; cricket and football. Finally students served them a scrumptious lunch and they left with “goodie bags” provided by the school. Students and staff of Dubai scholars were humbled by this interaction with their blue collar friends. We as one of the leading Institutions believe that students have a positive impact in their communities. Whether it’s by supporting a local charity, voluntarily teaching skills to others or organizing an event, participating in acts of “paying it forward” has extensive benefits for an institution, especially inculcating the sense of community service within its students.
Celebrating the Dignity of labour has been one such successful initiative by Dubai Scholars.
